In fact, one of the very first pieces to go on my wall was a restored old photograph of a heroin bottle. It was a conversation starter, and I used to say that I found it pretty wild that someone in the past had actually been tasked with designing a bottle for the complete poster boy of the global drugs trade. That crusty old black and white photo was the inspiration for me creating The Apothecary Cabinet, BAXCO's first original collection.

Everything I sell through BAXCO is something I would put on my own walls. A lot of it is already hanging around my flat and eventually I plan to have every print BAXCO sells on my own walls. I have a particular fondness for certain subjects and themes, which you will probably notice as you browse the collections.

I love the natural world, occult and mystical iconography, interesting maps, and unusual product design, all of which are reflected across BAXCO. I also love art that captures everyday life from the past. That's why I am particularly fond of The Floating World, a collection exploring life in 19th-century Japan. The prints are like beautiful little capsules offering the viewer a glimpse of a lost world. They provide a counterpoint to some of the more modern Japanese-themed art currently available, and are just gorgeous things to look at.
