For the Fungi Folios, I wanted to take these historic illustrations away from the traditional cream botanical background and give them their own identity. The soft blue-grey brings out the earthy browns, ochres and whites of the mushrooms and makes the individual specimens feel almost sculptural.

These prints look great when grouped with the botanicals collections and hung quite low under a row of plants on a shelf, but I have one of these as a standalone print on one of my living room walls and it looks great.
